Più libri più liberi 2015

The 2015 campaign for “Più libri più liberi” was born out of the passion of authors in writing books, of publishers in producing them, and of readers in loving them.
For the second year in a row, the Italian Publishers Association (AIE, Associazione Italiana Editori) asked us to design the campaign for the National Trade Show of Small and Medium Publishers that took place from December 4th to December 8th in Rome, Italy, at Palazzo dei Congressi in the EUR district. To interpret the campaign claim “For the love of books”, we felt natural to choose an author who lives the love for books day after day: Alessandro Sanna, who has won three editions of the Italian Andersen prize.
As usual, the author was asked to create three images. This year, the idea with Alessandro Sanna was to tell a micro-story in three acts where books are a metaphor for life.
The magic of watercolour coloured the city of Rome with poetical images on posters, buses, bus shelters, and subway platforms, as well as the EUR rooms in the backgrounds for authors, the literary café and all the internal signage.
