2017 brought big changes, the most significant one being that the book fair moved inside La Nuvola, the new Roma Eur Convention Centre designed by Studio Fuksas.
To celebrate this, we chose to retire the old logo and design a more modern and dynamic one, that conveys the variety of forms and contents that Più Libri Più Liberi can offer. The new logo is clear, simple, and characterized by lightweight graphics. It’s responsive and adaptive to all formats. Compared to the old logo, it’s more readable and fits perfectly the needs of the new campaign, which was designed and produced with a focus on simplicity and clarity.
The streamlined graphics are also referenced by Sofia Pro, a modern and well-proportioned sans serif font that perfectly matches the architecture of La Nuvola.
For the images, we relied on the expertise of Roland Halbe, who has captured the most important modern and contemporary works of architecture from all over the world, and had already been our partner in the past. His shots of La Nuvola are simple and well-balanced, yet they have a great visual impact. They’ve represented the ideal background for this campaign, that was designed to celebrate the beauty of the new location.
The 16th edition of PLPL was held in Rome, Italy from December 6th to December 10th, 2017. It welcomed a record attendance compared to the previous editions, with over 100.000 visitors .
